Q: Is this Mac or PC software?
A: The Social Lead Fox software will only run inside a Windows operating system. This software will run on Windows XP up to the current version of Windows.
BUT, there are methods to installing Windows software on a Mac computer, and we provide links to several videos that explain how this can be accomplished for free.
More specifically, using the free visualization software VirtualBox along with the 90-day trial version of Windows 8.
Q: Do I need a Facebook account to use this software?
A: Yes, you are required to have a facebook account to use this software. You don't have to be actively using your account, you just need to be signed up with facebook in order to use this software.
Q: Does your software use any of my personal Facebook information?
A: Yes, technically .. the Facebook API requires the user to allow the software access to their account. In fact, all Facebook apps are required to do this.
But, social lead fox doesn't collect information from your account, nor does it post any information in your facebook account. The software only searches the facebook API system for posts, groups, events, and pages based on a keyword search. And it is required by the facebook API system to provide something called an “access token” to be able to perform those searches .. and in order to get a valid access token the software has to be authenticated by the user ( in other words connect to your facebook account )
