When you pay for traffic to your affiliate offers you are getting a visitor to look at your offer 1 time. Let’s say you paid $100 for 100 visitors and got only 1 sale. The next time you want to run a promotion you would have to pay $100 again. But if instead of sending those visitors to look at your affiliate offer you sent those 100 visitors to a squeeze page and asked only for their email in exchange for a free report. You would get about 30 people (30%) to take your offer. Now you would have 30 people on your list and you can email those 30 people again anytime you wish for free. That in a nutshell is why you should be focusing your entire efforts on list building. Build your list and you will have nothing else ever to worry about financially, anytime you need money just email your list an offer. You can even put the emails to your list on autopilot with an autoresponder and sit back and make money without doing anything more than sending new leads to your squeeze page daily.
There are 6 easy steps to follow:
1. Promote Low Cost Products With Instant Commissions
2. Setup Your Website With Squeeze Page
3. Create or Find Your Freebie Giveaway Product
4. Setup Your Autoresponder Messages
5. Promote Your New Squeeze Page Regularly
6. Repeat
We will go over each one of the steps in detail.
Step 1: Promote Low Cost Products With Instant Commissions
Right after we get our visitor to opt-in we want to present them with their first opportunity to buy from us. This is called an OTO or “one time offer”.
This offer needs to follow a few rules:
1. Low cost
2. High Conversions
3. Low Refund Rate
4. Instant Commissions (paid directly to you immediately)
5. Lots of testimonials
6. Related to your free report
We want to offer something valued under $27 if possible at first, because this is the impulse decision limit. Then we need to make sure we pick a product that has high conversions, a low refund rate and preferably lots of positive testimonials.
The most important thing we want is a product that pays us “Instant Commissions” directly into our PayPal account immediately. This way we don’t have to wait to 30 days to get paid.
You can find Instant Commission Products like what I mentioned above at:
www.jvzoo.com
www.warriorplus.com
www.digiresults.com
Step 2: Setup Your Website With Squeeze Page
In order to collect emails from your visitors you need 4 things:
1. A Squeeze Page
2. A Domain
3. Hosting
4. An Autoresponder
In order to maximize your opt-in rates you will want to use a dedicated squeeze page. This system works best if the only choice your visitor is presented with is the choice to opt-in. If you give the visitor more than once choice they will likely leave without doing anything or choose the wrong one.
Create a Squeeze Page
The easiest way to create a squeeze page would be to install Wordpress along with a squeeze page theme such as www.optimizepress.com or www.flexsqueeze.com
Every squeeze page should have 3 things:
1. An Eye Catching Headline
2. A Call to Action
3. An Opt-in Form (Above the fold)
Register a Domain and Get Hosting Get a Domain related to your niche from a registrar such as www.Godaddy.com or www.namecheap.com, you also need hosting and that you can get from www.hostgator.com
Setup an Autoresponder
In a later section we will discuss autoresponders in more detail, but you need an autoresponder to capture leads and send out your messages on your behalf automatically.
Step 3: Create Your Giveaway
When you give something away for free you always want to attach a real life value to it. My suggestion is that you giveaway something that you would normally charge anywhere from $27 - $47.
The free giveaway should provide great value to your visitor and it should offer a solution to a problem they are having or answer important questions they are asking.
The title of your freebie is important. It should be irresistible and enticing in order to convince someone to turn over their email in order to receive it.
How to Create Your Giveaway
You have a few options here:
1. You Can Write Something Yourself – If you can write this is best option
2. Interview An Expert – Find experts in your niche eager to help www.guru.com and www.helpareporter.com
3. Hire A Writer - www.elance.com, www.freelance.com, www.vworker.com
4. Buy PLR Material - make sure to make it as original as possible by rewriting it and changing the report title.
5. Compile Expert Articles - compile a report from blog posts, guest posts, forum posts, interviews and articles you find around the web.
Step 4: Setup Your Autoresponder
You can get an autoresponder from www.Aweber.com or www.GetResponse.com
When you setup your autoresponder for your squeeze page you will want to add at least 12 emails to the follow up.
Add a mixture of content emails and promotional emails. If you only send promo emails you will not be building a relationship with your list and your list responsiveness will go way down over time.
Send your list news, tips, articles related to what they signed up for regularly so that they don’t forget who you are.
Be on the cutting edge of breaking news in your industry. You can even send them links to blogs, forum posts and articles that you have read online.
A good ratio in 12 follow ups would be 8 content and 4 promos.
You can get the content for your emails from a writer you hire or simply get it from article directories like www.ezinearticles.com (make sure to give the author credit for their writing)
In the beginning send an email every single day so that your new subscriber can get used to seeing emails from you and get to know you.
After 1 – 2 weeks you can send emails less frequently. And keep adding new content and promos to keep the list fresh.
Step 5: Promote Your Squeeze Page
Once you have your squeeze page setup you don’t need to do anything more than continually send traffic to your squeeze page.
You should do as many of the traffic methods mentioned below possible and do them continually.
Your strategy should be always to find multiple streams of traffic so that your business is not dependent on any one source.
Free Traffic Methods
1. Guest Blogging – This is where you write articles on popular blogs with lots of traffic. This method is not effective on blogs with little to no traffic. You would want to approach blog owners and ask them to accept a guest article from you; you then would have your squeeze page link right in the author bio box.
2. SEO – By far the slowest method of getting traffic. It is free traffic but it costs in time spent waiting for the traffic.
3. Ad Swaps – This is an advance method for people who already have at least 300 people on their list. You can swap ads with another list owner. You send their ad to your list and in turn they will send your add to their list.
4. Forum Marketing – This is the easiest to start with and the most often over looked. Simply put a link to your squeeze page in your signature and hang around in forums related to your niche. Post often but make sure you are not spamming just to get your link seen.
Paid Traffic Methods
1. PPV – This is where you run ads on pay per view networks such as www.directcpv.com and www.leadimpact.com. Your ads will appear when someone views a website related to your offer.
2. PPC – Google Adwords doesn’t like squeeze pages but Facebook and MSN ad center does allow them. This method can get very expensive so I suggest you test your squeeze funnel with free sources first to make sure it converts.
3. Solo Ads – The crème de la crème … I saved the best for last. Running paid ads sent to other people’s lists, that is what’s called a solo ad. Solo ads are inexpensive compared to other traffic methods and your audience can be very targeted in most cases. The best places to find solo ads are www.safe-swaps.com and
www.warriorforum.com/warrior-joint-ventures. You will pay somewhere around $0.50 – $1.00 per subscriber depending on the ad cost.
Step 6: Rinse and Repeat Often!
Send traffic to your squeeze every chance you get for a continual streams of income.
